Richard is 12 years old and has a big dream of becoming a doctor. Since he was very young, he has sought to help those who need it most and even without understanding what it really meant to study medicine, destiny was putting together the pieces of what his purpose would be.
His main motivation is Mario, his uncle, who got sick with leukemia and had no financial support. Seeing that his mother could not do anything to help him, he confirmed his commitment to himself to become a doctor. Not only to help people in need, but also to be part of the reform of the Peruvian health system. Little Richard is aware that most people in Tumbes, the province where he grew up, do not have health centers in rural areas, and that is why he seeks to make a difference and ensure that access to such a basic right is for everyone.
Richard is a boy with a passion for science, he never misses a documentary on medicine and, in his free time, he likes to research on the internet about the new variants of Covid-19 and its long-term consequences, why some people are asymptomatic, and how he can contribute to everyone receiving the vaccine. He also has an artistic talent and plays the violin, which has allowed him to be disciplined and to belong to Sinfonía por el Perú.
