OUR GRATITUDES TO GLOBAL GIVING TEAM

On behalf of Women Inspiration Development Center, I want to express our profound gratitude for the invaluable support and unwavering commitment that GlobalGiving has extended to our cause in delivering agency and eradicating gender-based violence in Nigeria.

We reflected back to the time we joined this wonderful Platform in 2016 (8 years ago) our organization was on the zero level financially and we were wondering how we were going to continue our work or should we throw in the towel and close up. It was at that point an angel in form of my awesome friend, Theresa Mcgahran employed someone to register us into this wonderful platform.

Your platform's generosity and dedication have played a pivotal role in enabling us to significantly expand our efforts and make a tangible difference in combating gender-based violence. With your support, we have been able to implement impactful programs, provide essential resources, and offer crucial support services to survivors and vulnerable communities affected by this pervasive issue.

The contributions raised through your platform have not only helped us cover substantial ground but have also empowered us to amplify our advocacy, raise awareness, and foster a culture of empathy and support. Your partnership has been instrumental in realizing our mission of creating a world free from gender-based violence.

We deeply appreciate the collaborative spirit demonstrated by the GlobalGiving Platform, as it reflects a shared vision of creating positive change in society. Your platform's commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at eradicating gender-based violence serves as an inspiration and catalyst for our ongoing work.

OUR ACHIEVEMENT IN THE LAST 8 YEARS WE JOINED THIS PLATFORM:

v  We have delivered agency to 5,430 women and girls to find their voices, discover their power and living their dreams. This has translated to 81,450 direct impact and 814,500 direct Impact

v  We sensitized about 62,000 women, girls, men and boys to be aware of VAPP law and steps to take to assist survivors of Gender Based Violence

v  We have treated 109 cases of violence to date in the cause of our work

v  We have secured justice for 42 survivors of sexual and physical violence. Presently, we have 6 husbands that have signed undertaken and they are paying their neglected wives’ substantial amount every month to take care of themselves and their children.

v  We have mobilized 89 Traditional Women leaders and Traditional institutions to seat at the round table to discuss how to eradicate violence against women and girls in their markets, and communities

v  We have mobilized of 1,276 girls from schools and organizations to seat at the round table to discuss how to eradicate violence against women and girls where they are, in their organizations, schools and communities

v  Presently, we have network of 313 Confident Girls Ambassadors that are community activist against gender-based violence in their schools and communities

v  We have secured a Shelter for the abused that can housed 12 people at a time

v  Women inspiration Development Center (WIDC) sent relief to about 500 victims of flood in five states of Nigeria that was badly affected. We sent reliefs to Bayelsa, Delta, Rivers, Bauchi and Benue. The reliefs range from material to cash gift.

v  Women Inspiration Development Center have been able to supply food for 2,183 vulnerable families through our end of the year feeding program from 2018 to date.

As we continue our journey in addressing this critical issue, we remain committed to the values of compassion, equality, and justice that GlobalGiving stands for.
