During this Reporting period, February 2023 to April 2023 the flood affected victim families were supported some of income generating activities on vegetable farming.Such supports were improved vegetable seeds, bio fertilizer making training and capacity building training on improved vegetable farming.Along with these,they were technically backstopping support from MRC Nepal technicians.
As a result of these income generating interventions these victim families were able to raise their income and support for their daily livelihood such as food security and day to day household expenditures. On an average, per household were able to increase income Nepali Rupees 20,000per 340 Meter square of land. These families now freely express their feeling of improving livelihood from the support of MRC Nepal and GLOBAL GIVING. THANKS TO THEM!

Beneficiaries Growing Vegetables
Previously the victim families affected by heavy flood due to ling and hevy rain in the areas also followed by COVID-19 Pandemic have been severly suffered by health and daily livelihood.They terminated the the job and their employment from their work.In this regards to these families are organized in group by MRC Nepal in October/November 2022 for supporting livelihood related activities,so that they are able to generate attractive income from the sale of fresh vegetable in market.
These rural farmers receive good quality seeds,production materials and capacity enhancement training from MRC Nepal continuously.They are now capable of earnig money on an average 500 USD per month from the 750 SQM of their agricultural land. The harvesting is continuing and they will be receiving income.
They thank to GLOBAL GIVING organization and MRC Nepal continuously...The victim families are happy with these income and support provided by MRC Nepal

Selling vegetable by Victims
This Reporting period from July-September in Nepal is the season of Rainy which causes many flooding and landslides in hills of Nepal because of which affected on agricultural land,animals displaced for the people.In our project areas too the heavy flooding causes soil erosion and land slides.In this very difficult situation our organization MRC Nepal raised awareness on disaster prepared and how to mitigate the situation of improving livelihood.
The MRC Nepal conducted many capacity building training on Agriculture and technical backstopping support to the affected poor producers so that these people generate income from the improved agricultural system.The organzation MRC Nepal raise houshold income from the improved agricultural technologies through supporting improved seeds,nutrients,training and technical backstopping support continuously.So that affected beneficiaries are capable of improving their day to day livelihood,education of the children,health and social ceremonies from the increased incomeThe affected beneficiaries thank to GLOBAL GIVING and MRC Nepal.
