As a result of our services, children enrolled in our program are able to acquire their delayed milestones. Our services are transformative in nature because a child is able to achieve their fullest potential. Recognizing the dire need for Occupational Therapy, we embarked on being more inclusive by offering this service to other children with disabilities like autism and Down syndrome.
Because of COVID 19, and with the many restrictions, some of our scheduled services were done online. We held a mental health counselling session online to highlight the importance of a parent/caregiver being in a positive state of mind so as to effectively parent. Also being is a positive state of mind helps a parent accept their child and have hope that their child can actively participate in society when given all the attention required.
We also continue to create more awareness on disability through our online platform Facebook, encouraging parents to attend therapy consistently so as to achieve positive results for their child. The earlier a child starts therapy, the better. As we offer our services, we continue to impact knowledge and skills to the parent so that they can do what they learn from us at home and not just wait for the therapy day.
