In rural Salem district, the poor rescued bonded laborer women and their children were highly affected due to COVID-19 out break. About 6 month countrywide lock down forced them to stay at home. they have no proper income are work. they have lost their survival basic needs such as water, food and health care facilities. on response of theis pandemic, RWDT mobilised resources from various dedicated pepole and supported dry ration releif paks with grocery items. these will help them to manage atleast 20-30 days. In this regard, the rural women, widows, migrants, elders and abondened women were selected as beneficiaries.they were given awareness how to keep awqay from the corona spread. they were taught clean habits and supported masks. they also taught to keep physical distance when going outside. the innocent people were guided to get medical help from local medical institutions. About 2000 women and 10000 their family memebrs were benefitted through our relief and awareness education program.
