COVID-19 Relief Distribution to Women families

There is an emergency to respond highly to pandemic of respiratory disease spreading from person-to-person caused by a new corona virus. In Tamilnadu that the situation poses a serious public health risk and lack of livelihoods particularly migrant worker communities those who came from other states of country. They lost work and income due to the two months lockdown. The vulnerable community are affected not only health risks also hunger crisis. There is an urgent need to support relief to the poor workers to keep them alive. Hence there is an urgent need to be fulfilled by means of kind support.

For implement the relief activities that the grant was requested from various sources to provide relief materials to the needy migrant worker families. We got support for 100 women families and purchased Rice and Grocery items. The items quality were thoroughly checked before taking delivery. Proper permission was already got from the local administrative authorities. A vehicle was hired for distribution of relief to the respective locations. RWDT team distributed the relief material packages to the needy women families. The support of community leaders and volunteers came forward to help the distribution process. The relief packages were distributed to the women workers and their families those who lost their income due to lockdown of pandemic COVID-19. 

While distributing the relief they were given awareness on preventive measures of COVID-19. The beneficiary photographs were also included in the report. 

They showed gratitude all supportes.
