Stepping in the Shoes of their Mentors...

By Sarah Ahmed | Project Leader

The past four months have seen Khadija Girls College thrive as a hub of creativity and education, thanks to the conscientious efforts of our students, faculty, and the Al-Mustafa Welfare Society. The successful execution of the Arts Exhibition and the innovative World Teachers' Day celebration are testaments to our commitment to fostering a holistic learning environment. Moving forward, we aim to continue facilitating events that inspire and empower our students, preparing them for a bright and impactful future.

TEACHER'S DAY CELEBRATION

In honour of World Teachers' Day, Khadija Girls College celebrated with a unique “Reverse Day” theme. Students had the opportunity to step into the shoes of their teachers, managing classes and administrative responsibilities throughout the school day.

Highlights

  • Students prepared lessons, led discussions, and managed classroom activities, providing them with firsthand experience of the teaching profession.
  • The event created an atmosphere of mutual respect and appreciation between students and teachers, as students gained insights into the challenges and rewards of teaching.
  • Leadership skills were fostered as students exhibited responsibility and initiative in their roles.

The "Reverse Day" celebration not only made for an enjoyable experience but also reinforced the importance of education and the dedication of teachers in transforming lives.

ARTS EXHIBITION & COMPETITION

Khadija Girls College proudly hosted an Arts Exhibition and Competition focused on the theme of "Iqbal's Poetry." This event provided students a platform to express their interpretations of Iqbal’s iconic poetry through various artistic mediums. The competition featured three categories: painting, sketching, and colouring.

Highlights

  • Students displayed remarkable talent, showcasing their creativity through vibrant and moving representations of poetry.
  • The event fostered a sense of healthy competition and community among students, as they encouraged and supported each other throughout the exhibition.
  • Panels of judges, including local artists and educators, provided feedback and awarded prizes for outstanding works.

This exhibition not only nurtured the students' artistic abilities but also deepened their understanding and appreciation of literature, cultivating a diversified learning environment.
