Empower 1000 vulnerable women for work in Colombia

This year 2023 has allowed the Mujeres ROFÉ community to continue growing exponentially, and there is nothing better to visualize this than to compare the information included in the report that we presented in the month of July of this year with the current one to be able to observe this growth.  In these 4 months we went from 1,800 women heads of household to more than 3,300 (a growth of 83%), coming from 432 municipalities (a growth of 82% compared to the 237 that were in July), and belonging to 30 of the 32 departments of Colombia (almost the entire country!). This makes us very happy and at the same time challenges us to continue working very hard to continue contributing to the training and growth of the women of this beautiful community.

These excellent achievements are due to the great effort we have been making from the foundation, with the support of allies and our donors who, with their generosity, contribute to give a better future to our women and their families.

 Below, we want to share with you the progress that has been made to date since July:

July 2023:

Continuing with the second cycle of training workshops, which we began in June with the “Skills for entrepreneurs of the 21st century” workshop, during the month of July we enabled on our training platform the workshop called “Entrepreneurship: Develop a business idea”, in which 154 women from the community participated.

With this workshop, the participating women received tools aimed at developing their ventures, through the application of methods and techniques to develop their own business idea and build the business model, as well as create the brand of their ventures. The women who completed this module were immediately enabled to request support from one of our mentors, for the validation and improvement of their business ideas.

On the other hand, thanks to the alliance made with Banco de Bogotá, a call and selection process was carried out to choose the 100 women who would be part of the subprogram called “Mujeres ROFÉ – Banco de Bogotá” which, through additional training provided by some allies of the bank, we seek to strengthen the entrepreneurial mentality of the participants, providing business tools and innovative methodologies that help them consolidate and dream bigger. At the end of this process, the program was launched with these 100 women.

August 2023:

 On August the 5^th we had our Third regional meeting of Mujeres ROFÉ, which was held for the second time in the city of Cartagena de Indias, where we had the opportunity to share with 55 women from the region who are part of the community . Apart from reviewing the benefits that women have by being part of the program, we had the presence of allies and mentors who discussed topics related to the development of women and their businesses such as Finance, Mindfulness and management of social networks. This was a very special day that allowed us to get to know each other personally, sharing with these women and at the same time strengthening the ties of our community.

During the month of August, the Workshop "Boost your Business on Digital Platforms" was held, which focused on giving tools to the women to learn how to put their business in social networks, with the aim of making it known in effectively and efficiently, and in this way enhance it, making it more visible and allowing the women to increase their sales and incomes. This time we had 145 women participating in this workshop.

September 2023:

In the month of September, the “Finances for Entrepreneurs” workshop was held, with which we guided the 132 participating women about the correct administration of their finances, both personal and their ventures, in order to establish a plan that would allow them to have financial peace of mind and avoid making mistakes that can result in bankruptcy and closure of their businesses. Topics related to income, savings, expenses, debts and cash flow were discussed, very necessary for the correct management of the finances of these women entrepreneurs.

Additionally, the first of a series of four talks called “Businesses that build a country” was held, aimed at the 100 women who are part of the “Mujeres ROFÉ – Banco de Bogotá” subprogram given by the firm Quántica. This is a traveling laboratory that seeks to strengthen business initiatives in different territories of the country, providing practical strategic and business development tools to promote the growth of entrepreneurial initiatives. It also seeks to immerse participants in a practical experience that allows them to connect with their creative and "doing" potential, exploring their values, skills and competencies.

October 2023:

This month we began the third cycle of workshops of the year, beginning with the “Skills for entrepreneurs of the 21st Century” Workshop, in which 175 women from various parts of the country participated. In this workshop our instructors mix practice with theory to train women with contributions from coaching, neurolinguistic programming (NLP), creativity techniques, group dynamics, team facilitation techniques, andragogy and gamification, in order to enhance motivation, concentration, effort, loyalty and other positive values common to the learning of the women who are part of the program.

The second talk on “Businesses that build a country” was also given, supported by Banco de Bogotá and Quántica. This time were addressed topics such as: How to increase sales? How to make my business operate sustainably? How to effectively communicate my differential proposal to my clients? How to develop strategic alliances? and how to create a business that breaks it?

In parallel to the aforementioned workshops, throughout these months we have continued to periodically give our women complementary open talks on various topics, supported by our allies. Topics such as Mindfulness (which is taught permanently on Wednesdays once every fifteen days, and which has become an emotional support for our participants), finances, how to present a resume, customer service and sales, among others, have been discussed, given by our mentors and allies to the program, which make it much more comprehensive for the Mujeres ROFÉ community.

Este año 2023 ha permitido que la comunidad de mujeres ROFÉ siga creciendo de una manera exponencial, y nada mejor para visualizar esto que comparar la información incluida en el informe que presentamos en el mes de Julio de este año con la actual para poder observar dicho crecimiento; en estos 4 meses pasamos de 1.800 mujeres cabeza de hogar, a más de 3.300 (un crecimiento del 83%), provenientes de 432 municipios (un crecimiento del 82% en comparación a los 237 que se tenían en julio), y pertenecientes a 30 de los 32 departamentos de Colombia (¡casi todo el país!). Esto nos pone muy felices y a la vez nos reta a seguir trabajando muy duro para seguir contribuyendo a la formación y crecimiento de las mujeres de esta hermosa comunidad.

Estos excelentes logros se deben al gran esfuerzo que hemos venido haciendo desde la fundación, con el apoyo de los aliados y de nuestros donantes que, con su generosidad, contribuyen a darle un mejor futuro a nuestras mujeres y a sus núcleos familiares.

A continuación, queremos compartir con ustedes los avances que se han realizado a la fecha desde el mes de julio:

Julio de 2023:

Continuando con el segundo ciclo de talleres de formación, el cual iniciamos en el mes de junio con el taller de “Habilidades para emprendedores del siglo XXI”, durante el mes de julio habilitamos en nuestra plataforma de capacitación el taller denominado “Emprendimiento: Desarrolla una idea de negocio”, en el cual participaron 154 mujeres de la comunidad.

Con este taller se transfirió a las mujeres participantes herramientas dirigidas al desarrollo de sus emprendimientos, mediante la aplicación de métodos y técnicas para desarrollar su propia idea de negocio y construir el modelo de negocio, así como crear la marca de sus emprendimientos. Las mujeres que culminaron este módulo quedaron inmediatamente habilitadas para solicitar asesoría con uno de nuestros mentores, para la validación y perfeccionamiento de sus ideas de negocio.

Por otra parte, gracias a la alianza hecha con el Banco de Bogotá, se llevó a cabo el proceso de convocatoria y selección para escoger a las 100 mujeres que harían parte del subprograma denominado “Mujeres ROFÉ – Banco de Bogotá” el cual, por medio de una formación adicional brindada por aliados del Banco, busca fortalecer la mentalidad emprendedora de las participantes, brindando herramientas de negocios y metodologías innovadoras que les ayuden a consolidarse y a soñar más grande. Al finalizar este proceso se hizo el lanzamiento del programa con las mujeres.

Agosto de 2023:

El día 5 de agosto tuvimos nuestro Tercer encuentro regional de mujeres ROFÉ, el cual se llevó a cabo por segunda vez en la ciudad de Cartagena de Indias, en donde tuvimos la oportunidad de compartir con 55 mujeres de la región que hacen parte de la comunidad. A parte de revisar los beneficios que tienen las mujeres al ser parte del programa, tuvimos la presencia de aliados y mentores que trataron temas relacionados con el desarrollo de las mujeres y sus negocios tales Finanzas, Mindfulness y manejo de redes sociales. Esta fue una jornada muy especial que permitió conocernos en forma personal compartiendo con estas mujeres y a la vez fortalecer los lazos de nuestra comunidad.

Durante el mes de agosto se llevó a cabo el Taller "Impulsa tu Negocio en Plataformas Digitales", el cual se enfocó en dar herramientas a las mujeres emprendedoras para aprender a llevar su negocio a las redes sociales, con el ánimo de darlo a conocer en forma efectiva y eficiente, y de esta manera potencializarlo, haciéndolo más visible y permitiendo aumentar sus ventas e incrementar los ingresos.  Esta vez tuvimos 145 mujeres participantes en este taller.

Septiembre 2023:

En el mes de septiembre se dictó el taller de “Finanzas para Emprendedoras”, con el cual orientamos a las 132 mujeres participantes acerca de la correcta administración de sus finanzas, tanto personales como de sus emprendimientos, con el fin de establecer un plan que les permita tener tranquilidad financiera y evitar cometer errores que se pueden traducir en la quiebra y cierre de sus negocios. Se trataron temas relacionados con ingresos, ahorros, gastos, deudas y flujo de caja, muy necesarios para el correcto manejo de las finanzas de las mujeres emprendedoras.

Adicionalmente se tuvo la primera de una serie de cuatro charlas denominadas “Negocios que construyen país”, dirigidas a las 100 mujeres que hacen parte del subprograma “Mujeres ROFÉ – Banco de Bogotá” dado por la firma Quántica. Este es un laboratorio itinerante que busca fortalecer iniciativas empresariales en diferentes territorios del país, brindando herramientas prácticas de desarrollo estratégico y negocios para impulsar el crecimiento de las iniciativas de emprendimiento. También busca sumergir a las participantes en una experiencia práctica que les permita conectarse con su potencial creativo y "hacedor", explorando sus valores, habilidades y competencias.

Octubre 2023

En este mes iniciamos el tercer ciclo de talleres del año, comenzando con el Taller de “Habilidades para emprendedoras del Siglo XXI”, al cual se inscribieron 175 mujeres de diversas partes del país.  En este taller nuestros instructores mezclanla práctica con la teoría para capacitar a las mujeres con aportes de coaching, programación neurolingüística (PNL), técnicas de creatividad, dinámicas de grupo, técnicas de facilitación de equipos, andragogía y gamificación, con el fin de potenciar la motivación, la concentración, el esfuerzo, la fidelización y otros valores positivos comunes al aprendizaje de las mujeres que hacen parte del programa.

También se dictó la segunda charla sobre “Negocios que construyen país”, apoyados por el Banco de Bogotá y Quántica. Esta vez se abordaron temas como: ¿Cómo aumentar las ventas?, ¿Cómo lograr que mi negocio opere de manera sostenible?, ¿Cómo comunicar efectivamente mi propuesta diferencial frente a mis clientes?, ¿Cómo desarrollar alianzas estratégicas? y ¿Cómo crear un negocio que la rompa?

En paralelo a los talleres anteriormente mencionados, a lo largo de estos meses hemos continuado dictando en forma periódica a nuestras mujeres charlas abiertas complementarias de diversos temas, apoyados por nuestros aliados. Se ha hablado de temas como Mindfulness (del cual se dicta en forma permanente los días miércoles una vez cada quince días, y que se ha convertido en un apoyo emocional para nuestras participantes), finanzas, cómo presentar una hoja de vida, servicio al cliente y ventas, entre otras, dados por nuestros mentores y aliados al programa, que hacen que el mismo sea mucho más integral para la comunidad de Mujeres ROFÉ.
