Empower 1000 vulnerable women for work in Colombia

Time continues advancing quickly and we are already halfway through this year 2023, so we want to inform you about the what we have done in recent months in the development of the "Mujeres ROFÉ" program. There are already more than 1,800 female heads of household from 237 municipalities belonging to 29 departments of Colombia who, thanks to the support of our donors, have signed up to be part of the program.

 April 2023:

Continuing with the first cycle of workshops that we began in February of this year with the workshops on "Skills for 21st century entrepreneurs" and "Entrepreneurship: Developing a business idea", during the month of April we enabled our platform for training the workshop "Finance for entrepreneurs", with which we seek to guide the participating women about the correct administration of their finances, both personal and for their business ventures, in order to establish a plan that allows them to have financial peace of mind and avoid committing mistakes that can result in bankruptcy and closure of their businesses.

During this workshop, topics related to income, savings, expenses, debts and cash flow were discussed, which are very necessary for the correct management of the finances of women entrepreneurs. We had a participation of 95 women in it.

May 2023:

During the month of May, the Workshop "Boost your Business on Digital Platforms" was held, which focused on giving tools to women entrepreneurs to learn how to take their business to social networks, with the aim of making it known in effectively and efficiently, and in this way potentiate it, making it more visible and allowing to increase its sales their incomes. This time we had 87 women participating in this workshop.

June 2023:

On Saturday, June 10, the SecondMujeresROFÉ Regional Meeting was held in the city of Bogotá, where we had the opportunity to share with the attendees who are part of the community. Apart from reviewing the benefits that women have by being part of the program and presenting the group of people from the foundation who are behind it, we had the presence of allies and mentors who discussed issues related to the development of women and their businesses, such as "Increase your sales" with Rebel Business School, "Strong finances, strong women: Understanding and Improving your personal economy" and "Yourself, your best ally. Personal Strengthening”. This was a very special day that allowed us to get to know each other personally, sharing with these women and at the same time strengthening the ties of our community.

Additionally, this month we enabled the second cycle of workshops of the year, beginning with the Workshop on "Essential Skills for 21st Century Entrepreneurs", to which 89 women from various parts of the country signed up. In this workshop our mentors mixed practice with theory to train women with contributions from coaching, neurolinguistic programming (NLP), creativity techniques, group dynamics, team facilitation techniques, andragogy and gamification, in order to enhance motivation, concentration, effort, loyalty and other positive values common to the learning of the women who are part of the program.

In the month of July we got ready to start a new workshop on “Entrepreneurship: Develop a business idea”.

In parallel to the aforementioned, throughout these months we have continued to periodically give complementary open talks on various topics such as mindfulness, finances and time management, among others, given by our mentors and allies to the program, which make it is much more comprehensive for this group of “Mujeres ROFÉ”.

On the other hand, we are very pleased to share with you that in this period of time we have continued providing seed capital to the women of the community, which has allowed them to develop their business ideas. For this, they had to complete a series of requirements such as: successfully completing the Entrepreneurship workshop, requesting advice from a specialized mentor, taking the three sessions with the mentor and then requesting the seed capital, attaching the supporting documents required by us.

We continue working with new allies to expand the curricular plan, developing new workshops that benefit and complement our women.

VERSIÓN EN ESPAÑOL:

El tiempo sigue avanzando rápidamente y ya estamos por la mitad de este año 2023, así que queremos informarte lo que desde la Fundación ROFÉ hemos realizado en estos últimos meses en el desarrollo del programa “Mujeres ROFÉ”. Ya son más de 1.800 mujeres cabeza de hogar provenientes de 237 municipios pertenecientes a 29 departamentos de Colombia que, gracias al apoyo de nuestros donantes, se han inscrito para ser parte del programa,

Abril de 2023:

Continuando con el primer ciclo de talleres que iniciamos en el mes de febrero de este año con los talleres de “Habilidades para emprendedoras del siglo XXI“ y “Emprendimiento: Desarrolla una idea de negocio”, durante el mes de abril habilitamos en nuestra plataforma de capacitación el taller “Finanzas para emprendedoras”, con el cual buscamos orientar a las mujeres participantes acerca de la correcta administración de sus finanzas, tanto personales como de sus emprendimientos, con el fin de establecer un plan que les permita tener tranquilidad financiera y evitar cometer errores que se pueden traducir en la quiebra y cierre de sus negocios.

Durante este taller se trataron temas relacionados con ingresos, ahorros, gastos, deudas y flujo de caja, muy necesarios para el correcto manejo de las finanzas de las mujeres emprendedoras. Tuvimos una participación de 95 mujeres en el mismo.

Mayo de 2023:

Durante el mes de mayo se llevó a cabo el Taller "Impulsa tu Negocio en Plataformas Digitales", el cual se enfocó en dar herramientas a las mujeres emprendedoras para aprender a llevar su negocio a las redes sociales, con el ánimo de darlo a conocer en forma efectiva y eficiente, y de esta manera potencializarlo, haciéndolo más visible y permitiendo aumentar sus ventas e incrementar los ingresos.  Esta vez tuvimos 87 mujeres participantes en este taller.

Junio 2023:

El sábado 10 de junio se realizó el Segundo Encuentro Regional Mujeres ROFÉ en la ciudad de Bogotá, en donde tuvimos la oportunidad de compartir con las asistentes que hacen parte de la comunidad. A parte de revisar los beneficios que tienen las mujeres al ser parte del programa y presentar al grupo de personas de la fundación que están detrás del mismo, tuvimos la presencia de aliados y mentores que trataron temas relacionados con el desarrollo de las mujeres y sus negocios tales como “Aumenta tus ventas” con Rebel Business School, “Finanzas fuertes, mujeres fuertes: Entendiendo y Mejorando tu economía personal” y “Tu misma, tu mejor aliada. Fortalecimiento Personal”. Esta fue una jornada muy especial que permitió conocernos en forma personal compartiendo con estas mujeres y a la vez fortalecer los lazos de nuestra comunidad.

Adicionalmente en este mes habilitamos el segundo ciclo de talleres del año, comenzando con el Taller de “Habilidades esenciales para emprendedoras del Siglo XXI”, al cual se inscribieron 89 mujeres de diversas partes del país.  En este taller nuestros mentores mezclaronla práctica con la teoría para capacitar a las mujeres con aportes de coaching, programación neurolingüística (PNL), técnicas de creatividad, dinámicas de grupo, técnicas de facilitación de equipos, andragogía y gamificación, con el fin de potenciar la motivación, la concentración, el esfuerzo, la fidelización y otros valores positivos comunes al aprendizaje de las mujeres que hacen parte del programa.

En el mes de julio nos alistamos para dar inicio a un nuevo taller de “Emprendimiento: Desarrolla una idea de negocio”.

En paralelo a lo anteriormente mencionado, a lo largo de estos meses hemos continuado dictando en forma periódica charlas abiertas complementarias de diversos temas tales como Mindfulness, finanzas y gestión del tiempo, entre otras, dados por nuestros mentores y aliados al programa, que hacen que el mismo sea mucho más integral para este grupo de Mujeres ROFÉ.

Por otro lado, estamos muy complacidos de compartir con ustedes que en este periodo de tiempo hemos continuado entregando capital semilla a las mujeres de la comunidad, lo cual les ha permitido desarrollar sus ideas de negocio. Para esto ellas tuvieron que cumplir con una serie de requisitos como: finalizar correctamente el taller de Emprendimiento, solicitar la asesoría con un mentor especializado, tomar las tres sesiones con el mentor y luego solicitar el capital semilla, adjuntando los documentos soporte requeridos por nuestra parte.

Continuamos trabajando con nuevos aliados para la ampliación del plan curricular, desarrollando nuevos talleres que beneficien y complementen a nuestras mujeres.
