Empower 1000 vulnerable women for work in Colombia

Last october 1st, with the participation of 30 women who live in different regions of Colombia (Antioquia, Atlántico, Bolívar, Cauca, Córdoba, Meta, Nariño, Risaralda, Tolima and Valle del Cauca), we launched the pilot of ‘Mujeres ROFÉ’ program, a digital space where we provide support to women heads of household on four fronts: Network, Opportunities, Learning and Entrepreneurship.

This pilot has been mainly financed using resources obtained through GlobalGiving, where what we have collected allowed us to start this project that will generate great changes in women heads of households in Colombia, and which have allowed us to develop, support and maintain the APP composed of the four fronts mentioned above.

The work done has been quite motivating, so we want to share a short summary of what the pilot's progress has been to date:

-      October 1: Launch of ‘Mujeres ROFÉ’ pilot program.

-      October 4 to 15: The content of the Mindfulness workshop on the platform was enabled. Additionally, 6 virtual sessions were held where the attendees were able, through the spiritual coach, to put into practice what was studied and also they had meditative experiences.

-      October 14 to November 5: The course essential skills workshop: Skills for Entrepreneurs of the 21st Century was enabled on the platform. During this period of time, 3 virtual sessions were also held where women consolidated their knowledge and clarified doubts about the subject studied.

-      November 2 to 22: We did a survey among the women participating in the pilot in order to collect information, obtaining feedback related to the progress of the pilot, and in this way being able to make the necessary adjustments for the launch of the program in 2022. We obtained very satisfactory results related to the usefulness and usability of the APP, the content, the virtual sessions and the trainers, as well as valuable information to improve the program. The most important and satisfying thing is that all of the respondents answered that they fully recommend the program.

-      November 5 to 23: The theoretical content of the entrepreneurship workshop was enabled on the platform. During this period of time, 3 virtual sessions were also held where the women consolidated their knowledge, clarified doubts and were able to work on developing their business idea.

-      November 25: The theoretical content of the personal finance workshop was enabled on the platform, which will be open until December 12. 3 virtual sessions will be held for the women to have a deeper immersion in the finances  world.

In the next month we will carry out assessments to the women´s business ideas, helping them to make the dream they have with each of their ventures come true, and empowering them to move forward. Likewise, we will analyze the possibility of granting some microcredits that will serve as seed capital to those who may require it the most, and we will have two more spaces for feedback from the participants to continue monitoring the program in order to have the opportunity to improve those aspects that could be required.

It has been a very satisfactory work that we have done so far, and we are sure that this pilot will continue as a formal project successfully thanks to the work we are doing, the support of all of you and the effort that women are making to improve themselves and move forward their ventures.

El 1 de octubre pasado, con la participación de 30 mujeres emprendedoras que viven en diferentes regiones de Colombia (Antioquia, Atlántico, Bolívar, Cauca, Córdoba, Meta, Nariño, Risaralda, Tolima y Valle del Cauca), se llevó acabo el lanzamiento del piloto del programa Mujeres ROFÉ, un espacio digital donde brindamos apoyo a mujeres cabeza de hogar en cuatro frentes: Red, Oportunidades, Formación y Emprendimiento.

Este piloto ha sido financiado principalmente mediante la utilización de los recursos obtenidos a través de GlobalGiving, en donde lo que hemos recaudado permitió que se iniciara este proyecto que generará grandes cambios en las mujeres cabeza de hogar en Colombia, y los cuales nos han permitido desarrollar, soportar y mantener la APP compuesta por los cuatro frentes anteriormente mencionados.

El trabajo realizado ha sido bastante motivante, por lo que queremos compartir un pequeño resumen de lo que ha sido el avance del piloto hasta la fecha:

-      Octubre 1: Lanzamiento del programa piloto de Mujeres ROFÉ.

-      Octubre 4 a 15: Habilitación en la plataforma del contenido teórico del taller de Mindfulness. Adicionalmente se realizaron 6 sesiones virtuales en donde las asistentes pudieron, a través de la coach espiritual, poner en práctica lo estudiado y tener experiencias meditativas.

-      Octubre 14 a noviembre 5: Habilitación en la plataforma del contenido teórico del taller de habilidades esenciales: Habilidades para Emprendedoras del Siglo 21. Durante este periodo de tiempo también se realizaron 3 sesiones virtuales en donde las mujeres afianzaron conocimientos y aclararon dudas sobre el tema estudiado.

-      Noviembre 2 a 22: Encuesta realizada entre las mujeres participantes del piloto para la recolección de datos, permitiendo obtener retroalimentación en cuanto al avance del piloto, y de esta manera poder hacer los ajustes necesarios para el lanzamiento del programa en el año 2022. Se obtuvieron resultados muy satisfactorios relacionados con la utilidad y facilidad de uso de la APP, el contenido programático, las sesiones virtuales y los instructores, así como información valiosa para mejorar el programa. Lo más importante y satisfactorio es que la totalidad de las encuestadas contestaron que recomiendan el programa por completo.

-      Noviembre 5 a 23: Habilitación en la plataforma del contenido teórico del taller de emprendimiento. Durante este periodo de tiempo también se realizaron 3 sesiones virtuales en donde las mujeres afianzaron conocimientos, aclararon dudas y pudieron trabajar en el desarrollo de su idea de negocio.

-      Noviembre 25: Se habilitó el taller de finanzas personales en la plataforma, el cual estará abierto hasta el 12 de diciembre. Se llevarán a cabo 3 sesiones virtuales para que las mujeres tengan una inmersión más profunda en el mundo de las finanzas.

En el próximo mes llevaremos a cabo asesorías a las mujeres emprendedoras, ayudándolas a hacer realidad el sueño que tienen con cada uno de sus emprendimientos, y empoderándolas para que sigan adelante. Asimismo, analizaremos la posibilidad de otorgar algunos microcréditos que servirán como capital semilla a quienes más lo puedan requerir, y llevaremos a cabo dos espacios más de retroalimentacion por parte de las participantes para continuar con el seguimiento del programa y mejorar aquellos aspectos que lo requieran.

Ha sido una tarea muy satisfactoria la que hemos realizado hasta el momento, y estamos seguros que este piloto continuará como proyecto formal exitosamente gracias al trabajo que estamos haciendo, al apoyo de todos ustedes y al esfuerzo que las mujeres están realizando para superarse y sacar adelante sus emprendimientos.
