The Sewing Centres in Gojra under SHD are running successfully for the women and young girls, who are working at the brick kilns and as domestic workers to support their parents. The women seems happy and enthusiastc about the training and they hope to complete their course, raise the income for their families and plan to pay back the loan which have been taken by their families from the brick kilns and farm owners.
Shazia is 20 years old. She could not continue her studies. Her parents would not allow her to go far from home. One day a lady volunteer of Society for Human Development met her mother and spoke about the sewing center. The mother listened quietly and said but these opportunities are far away. The volunteer told her. This is in the village. Her face lit up. If it is here my daughter will join. She has joined. Thanks to GGF, Society for Human Development has opened a Center in Shazia is likely to be the head girl of the Sewing Center.
