4th Report on Sewing Centers

Society for Human Development, through its development initiatives and interventions, have brought a significant and visible change in the lives of rural women of Toba Tek Singh. SHD is striving to provide these women equal opportunities to contrinute equally in a male dominated society without any social and economic obstacles.

During the last quarter, SHD initiated a new sewing centre in Gojra in December 2021 having 20 poor girls and women enrolled in the centre. The girls and their families are extremely happy and excited.

One of the Students Sawera is happy to be the part of the sewing center. She said " I left my school after having primary education. Since that day, i used to spend all day at home , waiting to do something for myself and for my family. Finally, through this center , I have got a chance to learn this skill and earn for my family. I want to thank my teacher Mercelene , and SHD for showing me the way.
