Winter support

By Anastasiia Karaoglu | Programs and Partnerships Officer

For three years, IBC has been delivering aid to Ukrainians affected by the escalation of the war in 2022. With the generous support of our donors—including you, our friend—we have provided relief to thousands in need and continue our efforts every day.

We would like to share what we achieved this winter, made possible by your generous $7,000 donation. Our primary focus was the Kherson region, one of the most vulnerable and high-risk areas in Ukraine:

  • 20 families received 5 cubic meters of firewood each.
  • 24 individuals received winter clothing.
  • 5 families received groceries for a week and 10 packs of baby formula.
  • 5 retired couples received cash assistance for a month’s worth of groceries.
  • 10 first aid kits were distributed to families in need.
  • 6 families in areas with damaged infrastructure received a monthly supply of drinking water.

Additional Support Beyond GlobalGiving Donations

  • 525 households in Kherson Region received wood briquettes, stoves, power banks.
  • Our Community Shelter in Mykolaiv continues to support 800-900 people daily with phone chargers, cooking, and heating stoves. Also 3,000 people per week receive soup, while 18,000-19,000 loaves of bread per week are distributed there.
  • New Year’s gifts were distributed to 200 children (Kherson: 170, Bilozerka: 30), including chocolates, school supplies, and backpacks.
  • Psychosocial support continues, with approximately 100 people per day receiving individual and group therapy sessions.
  • In 2025, as of today, 2510 patients were already seen in our outpatient clinic in Odesa region. The average number of patients seen by one doctor in one day is 35;

Thank you for standing with us in these challenging times. Your continuous support makes a huge difference in the lives of those in need.
