This project will cover basic needs such as food, medicine, clothing and firewood in order to support Ukrainian families in most disadvantaged areas in Ukraine.
Following the brutal Russian invasion of Ukraine, thousands of civilians were forced to evacuate to safer regions. The ongoing war, harsh winter conditions, and lack of adequate housing-due to the inability to secure stable employment-continue to negatively impact an already vulnerable population that has suffered greatly since the war escalated in 2022. This project will support thousands of Ukrainians in the southern regions of Ukraine, providing them with essential needs.
IBC will provide first aid kits, food, essential baby items, winter clothing, clean water, and firewood to individuals and families who have fled the war and struggle to access these necessities. Additionally, they will receive cash assistance to cover essential needs while residing in the evacuated areas or traveling to their next destination in Ukraine or Europe. Civilians will also be provided with psychological support to help them cope with trauma.
Continuous access to food, warm clothing, and clean water improves health and prevents diseases, while psychological support helps refugees heal from their trauma. Cash assistance can empower individuals to regain financial independence which results in promoting stability and self-sufficiency. Through these initiatives, IBC intends to lay the foundation for a more stable and hopeful future for displaced Ukrainian communities.
