Lebanon is on the verge of a humanitarian disaster as thousands flee the escalating violence along the southern border. This project by SEMA aims to provide emergency relief for displaced families, including food, water, shelter, and essential supplies. Our goal is to ease the suffering of those forced from their homes, especially women, children, and the elderly, as they face the harsh realities of displacement and the oncoming winter.
Since the escalation of violence on September 23rd, Lebanon has witnessed a mass exodus from the southern regions towards Beirut and the northern areas. These displaced families have left behind everything in search of safety, only to find themselves without basic necessities or adequate shelter. With winter approaching, the risk of exposure, hunger, and lack of proper sanitation presents a dire threat, particularly for vulnerable groups like children and the elderly.
SEMA is mobilizing an emergency response to address the immediate needs of displaced families in Lebanon. Our efforts include providing warm blankets, mattresses, food baskets, hot meals, hygiene kits, drinking water, and PSS support. We are working closely with local partners to ensure these supplies reach the most affected areas quickly and efficiently. By providing life-saving relief, we aim to alleviate the hardships faced by displaced individuals and help them regain a sense of security.
This project will not only meet the urgent needs of displaced families but also contribute to their long-term resilience. By addressing basic needs and offering psychosocial support, SEMA's efforts will provide a foundation for these individuals to rebuild their lives. Beyond immediate relief, we hope to foster a sense of solidarity and bring hope to those who have lost so much. The impact of your support will be felt in the form of lives saved, dignity restored.
