Some stories have the power to remind us of the extraordinary impact one person can make. As we approach February 24th – marking three years since the war began in Ukraine – I want to share how your compassion is creating ripples of hope for children battling cancer during these challenging times.
Let me introduce you to Ivan, a remarkable six-year-old whose courage inspires us daily. After his family lost their home to a missile strike, he faced another challenge – doctors discovered a tumor behind his ear. "It was really scary. I cried a little" - he shared, showing the innocent bravery that moves us all. Despite surgery, the cancer returned.
This is where your kindness changes everything. Thanks to supporters like you, Ivan continues his treatment with access to the best possible care. His story, like many others, is still being written – and you are helping write its hopeful chapters.
Even in the most challenging moments, when air raid sirens pierce the air and treatments must move to shelter, we see daily miracles. Children recover, families stay together, and hope prevails. Your support makes it possible.
