Dear Friends,

Thank you all for your incredible support for Ukrainian children with cancer and our efforts to restore Okhmatdyt, Ukrainian largest children's hospital, which provides vital cancer treatment.

On July 8, during a Russian missile strike, five oncology departments, the radiology and radiation therapy units, and Ukraine's only oncological laboratory were severely damaged. Rebuilding these facilities is crucial for effective cancer treatment, impacting not only current patients but future ones as well.

With your support, Tabletochki is taking a leading role in the hospital's restoration. Here are three key steps we've taken:

1. Council Participation: Our CEO, Viacheslav Bykov, has been elected to the restoration oversight council established by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. This role allows us to optimize donor funds and advocate for affected families during reconstruction decisions.

2. Damage Assessment: We funded a detailed assessment of the hospital's damage, costing around $120,000. This is essential for organizing transparent contractor selection for repairs.

3. Emergency Work Financing: The assessment confirmed that the building, housing the oncology departments, is structurally sound and can be restored. Thanks to your support, we are financing urgent stabilization work, costing approximately $230,000, which includes securing windows and doors and protecting infrastructure.

These initial key steps have been made possible by your incredible support. However, we still face considerable challenges ahead in restoring the hospital and ensuring that children receive the care they need despite the ongoing war.

Please continue to support the restoration of Okhmatdyt Hospital and the brave Ukrainian children fighting cancer, despite the many challenges they face. By subscribing to a monthly donation, you can create a lasting impact on their lives. Together, we can bring hope and healing to those in need.
