This initiative is an emergency call for assistance for population of Tshopo and Ituri in Democratic Republic of Congo. More than 37000 people are in emergency need. We want to provide food, clean water, emergency health care, build emergency shelters, awareness sessions on protection against sexual abuse and exploitation, including other cross-cutting issues. This initiative aims to provide emergency assistance to at least 20000 people, including 8759 from Tshopo and 11241 from Ituri in DRC.
More than 76400 people have been forcibly displaced from their areas of origin. In Ituri, insecurity in DJUGU, MAHAGI, IRUMU and MAMBASA continues to relocate several families, including more than 28000 households in emergency situations and in need across the province. Consequences: morbidity/mortality, violence against women and girls, food insecurity followed by acute malnutrition, children and young people associated with armed forces and groups.
We are therefore making calls for emergency assistance to save human lives in emergency need, contribute to respect of human rights and treatment of trauma. Since children, pregnant and lactating women are the most vulnerable, the initiative aims to provide to 20000 affected populations with: emergency food supplies; clean water, emergency health care; dignity kits for women and girls; essential household items; emergency shelters; Awareness sessions on sexual exploitation and abuse ; etc.
The project will provide emergency food, clean water supplies, emergency health care, emergency shelter, recovery classes for children, dignity kits for women and girls, and essential household items. This initiative will contribute to physical and mental well-being of people affected by conflict situations in Tshopo and Ituri. Saving human lives and contributing to their physical and mental recovery is at the heart of this project. DO NO HARM but help people in need with love and compassion.
