Thank you so much for all your support of our Emergency Appeal to help the Children of Darfur.
You may know that families living in remote villages in Darfur are subsistence farmers, living off whatever they can grow from the land.
The continued violence has meant that crops have not been planted - families are struggling desperately to survive. Many have lost their homes. The UN has warned that Sudan faces the worst humanitarian crisis in the world today - despite all the terrible news from other regions.
In Darfur, children are already dying from starvation.
But you are helping us to help them.
We are so grateful for all your support and are desperate to turn your donations into emergency food for families just as soon as we can and it is safe to do so.
In fact, we are keeping our fingers crossed that we will be able to share positive news soon.
It looks as if there is a window of opportunity in Darfur, despite ongoing violence, and we are planning a Pilot Project which will provide seed for six whole communities.
We cannot tell you what that will mean to people.
Sorghum and Millet is urgently needed right now. But we need to get it to remote villages before the heavy rains, which have already started in Darfur, make the desert impassable.
There is a huge risk that international aid will continue to not get through.
But Kids for Kids is moving really quickly to buy seeds and other emergency supplies at local markets which can then be taken to our villages.
We of course need to make sure it is safe for us to go ahead. The window of opportunity is closing in on us and we need to get help through to our six villages as quickly as we can. We are doing everything possible to make this happen.
At last, there is real hope and a real possibility that we can get emergency food through to our families so desperately suffering in Darfur.
And that is all because of you - we cannot thank you enough.
If you would like to donate a little more to help us reach more communities, we would be so incredibly grateful.
Children are dying from starvation in Darfur, together we must help as many as we can.
