Puerto Rico Rises urgently seeks to establish seminars, workshops, and classes that give women financial and social independence that allows them to support themselves and their family.
The socio-economic situation affecting our Island has triggered a rampant increase in gender violence.
As part of our offer, we want to carry out an in-depth study between the relationship of violent acts and the absence of women's education because they do not have access to the same resources, opportunities, and benefits that men have.
We are currently preparing the facilities where we can register 200 women to an intensive program that covers various areas. From self-defense to financial management.
Our goal is to start the registration process by October 2019.
