Hi Friends,

Thank you for supporting this incredible project. I wanted to provide a brief report with more to come soon after.

Overview
The El Rodeito project continues to make significant strides toward establishing a fully operational community health center in rural Honduras. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, local workers, and the generous support from our donors, we have made remarkable progress. A recent grant has provided a much-needed boost, bringing us closer to our fundraising goal and enabling us to push forward with construction.

Project Progress
Our goal remains to complete the infrastructure necessary to provide Primary Care, Maternal and Child Services, and Dental Care—free of charge to the local community. Construction efforts led by Mayor Potencial continue, and each step forward brings us closer to a fully functioning clinic.

Upcoming Trip: Los Encinitos (April 7–14)
Our next trip to Los Encinitos is scheduled for April 7–14. During this time, we will be hosting satellite clinics in El Rodeito and checking in on the progress of the health center.

Looking Ahead
Once completed, the health center will provide hundred of people in and around El Rodeito with reliable medical and dental services. In addition to primary care, the facility will allow for expanded services and future healthcare initiatives and community programs. Continued funding and support are necessary to ensure construction stays on track and that medical brigades have the resources needed to operate effectively.

Cape Cares Project -Community Health Center Update

Dear Friends,

We hope this message finds you well. We are excited to update you on the continued progress of the El Rodeito community center project. Thanks to your generosity, we have been able to move forward, and while we are still in the build process, we’ve made meaningful strides that bring us closer to our goal.

Construction Progress

Since our last update, we have completed several key phases in the build process. Our construction team has been working tirelessly, and we’re happy to report that we have now finished:

Foundation work: The foundation is now complete, ensuring a solid base for the community center.
Structural framework: The framework is being put into place, shaping the future home of El Rodeito's vital services.
Materials and supplies secured: We’ve procured essential building materials for the next phase of construction, ensuring that we maintain momentum on the project.

Community Involvement

In addition to the physical progress, community members have actively participated in the build, contributing labor, ideas, and encouragement. Their involvement continues to be a key driver of the project's success, fostering a strong sense of ownership and pride in the new center.

Next Steps

Looking ahead, we will focus on:

Completing the exterior walls
Installing roofing and windows
Beginning interior work (plumbing, electricity, etc.)

We are excited about the progress so far and are determined to continue moving forward, step by step until the community center is fully completed.
