"Amara Sabai", since its inception, has given top priority to the education of the kids of poor and underprivileged. Over the years, we modified our working method, considering the local need and providing quality education. This year it was much more stringent than ever before because of Covid19. Maintaining Normal work was almost impossible following Covid norms. Thus, to continue the programme, we involved guardians in receiving home tasks for their kids. The completed home tasks were reviewed regularly by the trained teachers. We know that we are working in an area where there is no option of using modern technologies for online classes. Thus throughout the year, our teachers attended to the students by forming several small groups to help them complete their syllabus.

Now the administration lifted the ban on regular activities of the School and the School opened partially. We expect to run in full mode within a few days. In between, we have completed the annual evaluation of the students. But, it is a matter of serious concern that a large section of students has become a dropout. Many of the reasons remain behind the dropout. Migration of the parent for a searching job, poverty, and other engagement during this pandemic is the main reason. Moreover, Super cyclones such as AMPHAN and YASS broke the backbone of the rural economy. Some of the parents are unable to bear the financial burden of the education of their children.
On the other hand, we have renovated the school accommodation, ruined by the cyclones. But we could not manage or procure learning materials, accessories, furniture etc. for the smooth functioning of the school and to provide better classroom facilities to the students.

In this situation, we are striving with the financial burden and are unable to procure the required items but trying sincerely.
I request our donor and well-wisher to stand by us to overcome the problem and afford the best educational support to the underprivileged group.

Result of the annual evaluation is enclosed.

Few photographs of renovated building and class room are enclosed.
