Education for All
Another Hope Children’ Ministries (AHCM) advocates for education because all children deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential. From novels that transport us to foreign lands to geometry problems that explain the world around us, the transformative power of education is undeniable. Unfortunately, millions of children never reap the benefits of a quality education.
Millions of children around the world are not in school and many more children who make it to the classroom fail to acquire the basic reading, writing and numeracy skills they need to succeed. Often, the most marginalized and hardest to reach children, including girls, and children with disabilities are the ones left behind.
AHCM advocates to expand access to education for the most vulnerable children and improve the quality of education so that all children gain the skills they need to realize their dreams. AHCM supports programs and policies that not only get children in school, but ensure they learn once they reach the classroom.
The Education for all campaign is premised on three factors
Enrollment of more children into the sponsorship program
Provision of scholastic materials and timely reporting in school
Timely payment of school fees
Increasing student access to Vocational school
Enrollment of more children into the sponsorship program.
20 more children were enrolled into the AHCM sponsorship program in different categories
Beneficiary A' story
I feel So much happier!. I'm so thankful for this scholarship! it has come at the right time when I need it because my parents were not ready to further my education. It is also going help remove the stress that i have been having all my life in my education, being chased for fees all along, reporting to school late. I am going to use this chance to do Hair dressing and Cosmetology. Thank you, Another Hope Children’s Ministries, for making this dream seem more like reality. May God Bless Another Hope Children’s Ministries.
Provision of scholastic materials and timely reporting in school
Beneficiary B’s story
To begin with it always starts mainly with three things as listed below, trusting in the Lord, believe in yourself and hardworking. I personally receiving school materials in time gives me opportunity to join school in time which helps to catch up with the school programmes. It also encourages me to concentrate and work hard in order to fulfill my duty as long as academics is concerned. It also encourages me to feel comfortable while at school because I will be having everything it takes to work hard and produce positively as long as academics is concerned. To add on receiving school materials in time gives me hope and encouragement to put in more effort to give out the best I can because everything was in time.
Timely payment of school fees
Beneficiary C’s story
I am always overjoyed when I receive my fully paid bank slip at the beginning of the semester. This gives me the zeal to begin my academic journey of that semester with my focus on how to strive for a successful end of the semester.
In addition, paying my tuition at the beginning of the semester frees up my mind from thinking about when it would be paid and thus making me concentrate on making strategies of how Iam going to fully utilize the worth of my tuition equitably. Furthermore, when my tuition is paid in time, Iam saved from paying a late fee of Ush. 50,000 and more, as designed by the University administration, as a penalty for those who pay a given percentage at a later date than prescribed.
This gives me a conducive environment towards learning, concentrating in my studies thus yielding good grades.
In a nutshell, I give thanks to the Almighty God for his providence in my life. I pray for blessing to AHCM where he passes my school fees. May God bless you.
Increasing student access to Vocational school
In accordance with the national need of vocational training for economic development, and the way it has been seen by society in the past few years, our aim is to inform, educate and train youth in Uganda. We aim at facilitating a belief that vocational training will offer youth the chance to secure jobs faster, to be self-reliant, establish their own business and in turn, commit to a more systemized change in Uganda, starting from youth who believe, who can, and who do.
At the core of our work, it is a partnership for sustainable development, which is based on 3 directions:
