Guide for Caregivers

By Lucija Rozic | Team Member

Guide
Guide

As we mentioned in our last report, we have collaborated with the National Secretariat for Childhood, Adolescence, and Family (SENNIAF) to develop a comprehensive manual that provides guidance to Orphanages and Compresive Care Centers. The manual includes general recommendations for various aspects, such as organizational structure, job descriptions, general competencies, admission procedures, child and adolescent rights, rules for beneficiaries, staff sanctions, and more.

The manual serves as a national guide for all institutions, and our plan for this year is to continue providing training at the three Comprehensive Care Centers of SENNIAF. Our aim is to work closely with caregivers within these institutions and expand to two more orphanages. However, given the possibility that many orphanages may close down, we have decided to broaden our scope and include Comprehensive Care Centers that work just with early childhood and childhood, with the goal of adding three institutions.

The manual and training program we have developed in conjunction with SENNIAF are critical steps towards enhancing the care and well-being of minors residing in Comprehensive Care Centers/Orphanages. By providing comprehensive training to caregivers, we are empowering them to deliver better care and support to these vulnerable children. Our aim is to continue expanding our program to more institutions and making a positive impact on the lives of these children.

Until 17th of April we plan to recruit around 25 participants for our program and keep you updated on our progress and any further developments.
