Preschool Education
A developmental assessment of children carried out recently reveals much progress in the physical, social, motor, language and intellectual levels for 70% of the children in our four centres. Many have progressed from a score of 17 to 34, which is a good sign of development over their nine month stay with CUF.
Children are comfortable, habitually follow the routines and are cooperating with the teachers in doing activities planned for them. Their attention span and focus has increased to nearly 15 minutes for writing and for other creative work, such as collage or colouring, to far longer.
Similarly, their listening and language has improved and many children are able to narrate fluently the stories told to them and sing the action songs well.
Children in CUF centre are now able to follow simple commands in English and can answer some questions about their family. Mothers are very happy about this and this will help children to attend their interviews in private schools. Regular exercises and playing games have helped children to participate confidentently and win prizes on sports day, which was conducted on 9th February. As many as 90 children took part in sports day and everyone had lots of fun.
