Thanks to your support our staff has accomplish many of the goals that we establish and we continue making plans for the future.
The team has carried out one more update survey, house by house, to know the interests and needs of the inhabitants in this village that we adopted. We have taken into account its results to improve our action plans. This direct dialogue with the community helps us to involve them in the programs and attend their necessities.
The scope of the programs has increased. From previously serving 45 children, now we have enrolled more than 187 children, youth and adults. The programs have risen, from 12 to 21 programs. Now we offer educational programs, psychological support, cultural and sports activities and technological tools. The facilities and equipment support have grown.
Since this 2019, we already have one more classroom; and a room dedicated to a library, in which the number of books has grown from 1200 to about 3000. From 14 computer terminals, we have grown to 24 computers, including laptops and PCs.
The number of staff, including volunteers, social service students and paid teachers, has risen from 14 to 19.
The results in the community can be noticed: we see dozens of children more confident and excited to learn. The community is more participatory and they consider the Educational Center as community meeting area, safe and full of opportunities for them.
In the last six months we improve safety in the area surrounding the education center, and open additional classrooms to expand the number of children benefiting from this initiative.
Thanks to your donations we are able to attend more children, teenagers and adults.
