Every year Nyaka continues to improve the way we serve our communities. With a strong focus on the education of young girls we have watched thousands of students go through our programs, pursuing their dreams with love and support.
There are over 350 girls attending our three schools, but Nyaka also supports the education of tens of thousands of young girls through empowering the women that care for them. The Nyaka grandmother program has spread throughout three districts in Southwest Uganda, providing services and micro-loans to over 24,000 women that care for over 91,000 vulnerable children. Most of these grandmothers were not given the opportunity to complete a basic education but are now providing exactly that to the younger generation.
