Education Matters More! Specially for Girls for girls and boys in displacement and drought affected areas Ethiopia
For Ethiopian girls and boys living in displaced communities and drought-affected areas, education matters more, especially for girls. In Somalia, it is more challenging for girls to get an education. Numerous factors, such as early marriage, the high demand for girls' labor at home, deeply ingrained negative traditions and values, and violence against women, place restrictions on them. drought recently has made the issue worse. Due to the triple issue of Somali girls' access to education, MHO distributed and provided educational materials for needy Somali girls for the second time during the reporting period. Only a small portion of the project's beneficiaries—including the young Somali women depicted here—have benefited from its activities and programs. This is only possible because of unique individuals and foundations like Corteva, which provide financial support to the MHO project.
