You are a warrior in the battle against poverty.
Your weapon?
614 pencils in the hands of 614 Nyaka students.
Why?
Because you know the only way to successfully combat poverty is with an education.
You are one smart cookie.
Unfortunately, getting an education in Uganda is not free. If a child cannot afford a uniform, tuition or school supplies, classroom doors are often slammed in their face.
Due to the devastation of HIV/AIDS, millions of orphans don’t have a mom or dad to support their dreams of getting an education.
It costs $.02 to purchase a pencil in Uganda and yet this small expense prevents children from going to school every day.
You are stepping in and bringing hope to an entire community. Thank you!
Thanks to you and your generous donations, poverty is facing the attack of the pencils.
614 students of Nyaka & Kutamba Primary School are sitting for their first term exams and each child has a pencil in their hand because of YOU.
Each child is healthy because you provide them all with access to clean water and plates heavy with nutritious food daily.
You are winning this battle and poverty is running scared.
But there are still millions of children that still need your help.
Are you going to let poverty stand in your way?
We didn’t think so.
GlobalGiving is giving away $5 for every tribute card purchased by May 12, while funds last.
Honor someone who fought for your future this Mother’s Day by purchasing pencils that change the world.
We salute you!
