Knowledge Beyond the Classroom: Andriana's Story

By Andrew Adjei | Chief Development Officer

Dear Cherished Partner,

I bring you warm greetings from the Cocoa360 family,

Our collaborative efforts with the resilient cocoa farmers in Tarkwa Breman have brought about profound transformations in the lives of countless children. The success of our initiatives serves as a beacon of hope for rural cocoa communities, demonstrating the power of community-driven solutions.

Certainly! Here’s a piece about Andraina Quaisie, a student at the TBGS teaching her grandmother about drug prescriptions after school.

As Andraina sat across from her grandmother, she noticed the confusion on her face as she stared at the array of prescription pill bottles on the table.

Andraina, a student who wants to be a medical doctor in the future, had often heard her grandmother express her bewilderment regarding her medications. Today, she decided to take matters into her own hands.

“Grandma, I know all these medications might seem overwhelming, but I’m here to help you understand them,” Andraiina said.
Her grandmother, grateful for the offer, nodded eagerly, signaling for her to continue.

By the end of their session, her grandmother felt more confident about managing her medications. She thanked Andraina profusely for taking the time to educate her.

“You’re welcome, Grandma. Remember, understanding your medications is key to staying healthy and independent,” Andraina said, giving her grandmother a warm hug.

Bridging the generational gap, she realized the power of knowledge and the importance of passing it on, one prescription at a time.
