African Angels provides food parcels to the Chintsa Community

Working together to lay out food items.

African Angels is part of our local Covid-19 Community Supply Program (CSP), helping source donations for food parcels for our community in Chintsa South Africa.  Many of the families in our area, like many across the world, worked in tourism, and have lost their jobs.

African Angels received a generous donation from an individual who sponsors an Angel, that meant we could purchase one hundred food parcels for one hundred households.  We added this to donations received by the CSP and a total of one hundred and eighty three parcels were distributed yesterday, Saturday 25 April to needy and vulnerable families in our area.

Chintsa folk are an inspiration. The incredible Health Helper team came together to list household details, load, unload, lay out and distribute the huge number of food parcels, displaying such kindness and respect to every person who came to collect food parcel, helping folk with their goods.

In the midst of uncertainty in their own lives, they chose to serve their community.  Our President, Cyril Ramaphosa, who is also leading us with integrity, kindness and empathy, would be proud of them.

I am proud African Angels can assist in food security, giving some comfort to many who are unsure what the future holds.

Thank you for supporting our work, and our community.

Approximately $17USD will purchase one food parcel for a family of four, that will contain enough staples and veg for two weeks.  To contribute to food security in Chintsa, please use the links below and leave a note 'Food for Chintsa.'
