Join African Angels for Mandela Day 2017 in South Africa!
Come and give your 67 minutes this Mandela Day (18 July) with African Angels as they undertake their most ambitious Mandela Day ever! Two different Chintsa East locations with varying volunteering tasks, and a colouring in compo!
We are inviting individuals, companies and business, schools and families to pay it forward with the Angels on the 2017 Mandela Day.
African Angels, a local non profit organisation, works in the East Coast Resorts area, just outside East London, and is committed to providing quality primary school education via the African Angels Independent School.
New to 2017, the Angels, and their partners are installing a community located, container based, computer hub and book exchange smack bang in middle of the Chintsa East village dubbed the Chintsa East Community Learning Centre.
For schools we are also running our popular Mandela Day Colouring in competition again.
African Angels Independent School 9am - 2pm
Bring your friends and family to the African Angels Independent School and help with the following indoor activities. Hostel painting (indoor / max 10 ppl). Sorting donations and books(indoor / max 6ppl). Computer maintenance (indoor / max 2 ppl). Tiling 3 shower floors, erecting shower curtain rails (indoor / max 6 ppl).
Chintsa East Community Learning Centre 7am - 2pm
Flip the switch at the HUB in Chintsa East Township. Join community members to ... Sort and shelve over 2000 reading books (indoor / max 10 ppl). Dig and plantthe succulent garden (outdoor / max 20 ppl). Paint the containers(outdoor / max 10 ppl). Roof construction and building a bottle brick wall can be done prior to Mandela Day.

Have your class colour in for Mandela Day! Download our Mandela Day colouring in compo, decide on the entry fee and go wild.The Angels love RED twisties and crayons. Please ask for a red twistie or crayon with the colouring entry fee.
