If helping your people in an emergency, seeing their smiles, feeling their hugs fills you with satisfaction, the feeling when you do it for a total stranger who lives thousands of miles from you, is incomparable.
The challenges to reach the Bahamas, permits, government clearance, logistics and the thousand and one questions that filled my head while coordinating this impact, were worth it. To know, that you could bring relief, hope and a clear and forceful "You're not alone" message is indescribable.
Puerto Rico is not yet recovered from Hurricane Maria, from overwhelming government instability and now, daily earthquakes that have our people living on the streets. However, when Hurricane Dorian hit the Bahamas, we got up, joined and managed to cross 128 pallets full of supplies and commodities.
The combination of pride in the deeds of ours mixed with the eyes of hope and gratitude of those who received them is an experience that will take with me as a stimulus and guide to continue paying forward.
Do the test yourself and you will see the immense sense of achievement that floods your soul.
Thanks for your support. You, me and everyone, we did it.
