Donate Wheel Chairs for Disabled Persons in Sindh

The project aims to enhance the mobility and accessibility of disabled individuals in the Sindh region by providing them with wheelchairs & Tri-cycles. The initiative is driven by the commitment to improving the quality of life for people with mobility challenges. 

Key Objectives:

To donate wheelchairs to individuals with disabilities.
To promote inclusivity and independence for disabled persons in Sindh.
To raise awareness about the importance of accessibility.

Progress Achieved: Needs Assessment: Completed a comprehensive needs assessment to identify individuals in need of wheelchairs. Collaborated with local disability organizations and healthcare providers for accurate identification.

Fundraising: Successfully raised 1572 USD from GlobalGiving fund raising campaign under the Project titled Donate Wheel Chairs for Disabled Persons in Sindh - #51013.

Procurement of Wheelchairs: Procured a total of new more 10 wheelchairs & Tricycles from reputable suppliers, ensuring they meet safety and comfort standards.

Distribution: Initiated the distribution phase by identifying eligible recipients based on need and collaborating with local community leaders and disability organizations for outreach.

Awareness Campaign: Launched an awareness campaign through social media, local newspapers, and community events to highlight the challenges faced by disabled individuals and the positive impact of wheelchair donations.

Collaboration with Local Partners: Established partnerships with local NGOs, healthcare facilities, and government agencies to ensure a coordinated and effective distribution process.

Logistics: Faced logistical challenges in reaching remote areas, requiring additional coordination and resources.

Next Steps:

Continued Distribution: Carry out the distribution of wheelchairs to identified recipients, focusing on areas with the highest need.

Monitoring and Evaluation: Implement a monitoring and evaluation system to assess the impact of the project on the lives of recipients.

Feedback and Adjustments: Collect feedback from recipients and stakeholders to make any necessary adjustments for future projects.

Documentation: Compile a comprehensive report documenting the project's journey, including success stories, challenges overcome, and lessons learned.

Despite challenges, the project is progressing well, and the team remains committed to its mission. The impact of providing wheelchairs to disabled individuals in Sindh is evident, and the project will continue to make a positive difference in the lives of the beneficiaries.
