No Fee but Plant a Tree

The "No Fee but Plant a Tree" initiative, funded by GlobalGiving, seeks to promote environmental responsibility and combat climate change by engaging parents and community members at NDF Rehabilitation Centers across Sindh. Instead of traditional fees, parents are encouraged to plant trees, fostering environmental stewardship while supporting the center’s mission for disability rehabilitation and community development.

Key Achievements

Tree Plantation Drive: Over 1,500 trees planted by parents and community members, including native species to support local biodiversity.
Environmental Awareness Workshops: Conducted four workshops for 100+ families, educating them on the impacts of climate change and sustainable practices.
Community Engagement: Increased local participation, with parents actively involved in the project and taking ownership of tree care to ensure survival rates.
Rehabilitation Centers as Green Hubs: Centers now serve as demonstration sites for environmental sustainability, with visible green spaces inspiring community replication.
