At Mitra Jyothi, we believe that education is the key to empowerment. Through your generous support, we have been able to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment for eight visually impaired girls—three in 11th grade, three in 12th grade, and two pursuing their third year of bachelor's degree.
Holistic Learning Environment
These young scholars reside at Mitra Jyothi, where they receive comprehensive support to make learning accessible, engaging, and enjoyable. They benefit from:
Braille Library & Audio Book Library – Ensuring access to academic resources in multiple accessible formats.
External Tutors – Assisting them with studies every evening.
Orientation & Mobility Training – Enhancing independent movement and navigation skills.
Signature Training – Helps them sign documents independently.
Spoken English & Soft Skills – Boosting communication and confidence.
Fitness & Confidence Building – Encouraging overall well-being and self-reliance.
Counselling & Mentorship – Providing emotional support and career guidance.
Beyond Academics
During vacations, the students are encouraged to join Digital Literacy Classes, equipping them with essential computer and technology skills, preparing them for future academic and professional pursuits.
