Vehicle for Rehabilitation Center a big support

During this reporting period, NDF Pakistan has continued its efforts to improve transportation access for children with disabilities attending our Rehabilitation Center in Nawabshah. While full funding for a dedicated vehicle is still in progress, partial contributions have allowed us to cover transport support through hired vehicles, ensuring uninterrupted access to therapy for the most vulnerable children.
The NDF Rehab Center in Nawabshah serves over 120 children with intellectual and physical disabilities, offering physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, and remedial education—completely free of cost. However, transportation remains a major barrier for families from surrounding villages. A dedicated vehicle will enable consistent attendance and reduce dropout rates.
Continue fundraising through GlobalGiving and corporate CSR appeals to meet our target vehicle cost.
Expand the transport service to 5 days/week, depending on donations.

vehicle donation reduces sufferings of parents

The National Disability & Development Forum (NDF) continues its efforts to secure a dedicated vehicle for the Rehabilitation Center in Nawabshah, aiming to alleviate the transportation challenges faced by parents and caregivers of children with disabilities.
Progress Update
- Funds Received: We are grateful for the support received so far, with $300 contributed towards this project. While we are still far from our target, these funds reflect the generosity and commitment of our donors.
- Interim Measures: Despite the funding gap, NDF remains committed to providing free transportation services. Using alternative sources, including borrowed vehicles and community-based support, we ensure that families can access the center's services without interruption.
- Impact on Beneficiaries: Free transportation has reduced the financial and emotional burden on parents, ensuring children with disabilities receive uninterrupted access to rehabilitation services.
Challenges & Next Steps
- Fundraising Needs: A significant amount is still required to purchase a dedicated vehicle. We will intensify our outreach and fundraising efforts to close this gap.
- Sustaining Interim Support: NDF will continue leveraging available resources to provide transportation while striving to secure long-term solutions.

Vehicle is utmost need of children

The project "Donate a Vehicle for NDF Rehab Center Nawabshah" aims to provide a much-needed vehicle to the Nawabshah District Foundation (NDF) Rehabilitation Center to facilitate transportation for patients and staff. This initiative is crucial to enhance the center's operational efficiency and extend its outreach within the community.We successfully launched the fundraising through GlobalGiving online platforms and local community outreach programs. The campaign aimed to raise PKR 2,000,000 to purchase a suitable vehicle for the center.Our efforts have garnered significant community support and engagement. Local businesses, individuals, and organizations have contributed generously towards the cause.We have established partnerships with several corporate sponsors who have committed to supporting the project financially. These collaborations have been instrumental in accelerating our fundraising efforts.The project is currently on track with the planned timeline. Upon completion, the donated vehicle will directly benefit the NDF Rehab Center by providing reliable transportation for patients attending therapy sessions, medical appointments, and outreach programs. This will significantly improve accessibility and efficiency in delivering healthcare services to the community. The Donate a Vehicle for NDF Rehab Center Nawabshah" project has made commendable progress towards its goal of providing essential transportation support to the NDF Rehab Center. With continued support from the community and stakeholders, we are confident in achieving our objectives and making a lasting impact on healthcare accessibility in Nawabshah.
