Dear Donor,
In the heart of the Talalin shelter center in northern Syria, young Ghassan lives with his mother and grandparents after losing their home and everything they owned to the devastation of war and displacement.
Ghassan is a quiet child, with eyes that reflect both the innocence of childhood and the burden of harsh reality. He lives with his family under difficult conditions, where only the bare essentials are available. Yet, his face lights up with a smile when he receives a warm piece of bread to ease his hunger.
Thanks to your generosity, we were able to deliver bread to Ghassan and his family today.
What may seem simple to us is, for them, life itself — a daily source of comfort and security in the face of hardship.
