Khaled... A Child Bearing the Burdens of Adults in a Struggle for Survival

By MUHAMMED DEEBEH | Project leader

Dear Donor,

Displaced families in northern Syria face harsh living conditions, with severe food shortages affecting many of them. Most rely heavily on humanitarian aid, which is often insufficient to meet their daily needs.

In a makeshift home on the outskirts of Souran, northern Syria, 15-year-old Khaled lives a life that has forced him to take on responsibilities far beyond his years. Six months ago, his father passed away, leaving him as the sole provider for his family. With no other choice, Khaled began working in a garment factory in Azaz, enduring long hours for a meager wage that barely covers his family's basic needs.

Khaled lives with his mother and four siblings in a house that lacks even the most basic necessities for a dignified life. Every day is a struggle to secure food, clean water, and medical care.

Thanks to your generous support, we were able to provide a complete food basket to this family, easing some of their burdens and bringing them a little stability in these difficult times.

The Importance of Continued Donations

Your ongoing contributions are essential to ensuring that families like Khaled’s continue to receive support in these dire living conditions. Every donation makes a tangible difference, offering hope and relief to displaced families struggling to survive.

Heartfelt Gratitude to Our Donors

Thank you for your kindness and continuous generosity. Because of you, we can keep providing help and support to the most vulnerable families in northern Syria.

With sincere appreciation and gratitude
