Mohammed and His Mother in Ramadan... The Warmth of Your Generosity Eases Their Suffering

By HASAN SADIK | Project leader

Dear Donor,

Amid the rubble left behind by the devastating earthquake in northern Syria and Turkey, 8-year-old Mohammed carries both the pain of loss and the hope for a safer life. After losing his father under the collapsed buildings, his mother had no choice but to seek refuge with her only remaining family. She and Mohammed moved in with her brother, Ahmed, in a modest home on the outskirts of Suran, northern Syria—a small, overcrowded space, yet still more merciful than a cold tent that offers no shelter from the harsh seasons.

As they struggle to rebuild their lives, Ramadan has arrived, bringing with it the added burden of securing food. In Syria today, some families break their fast with just a piece of dry bread—if they can find anything at all. But thanks to your generous donations, we were able to deliver a complete food parcel to Mohammed’s family, ensuring they have enough to sustain them throughout the holy month.

This food parcel is more than just sustenance—it is a message of solidarity, a reminder that they are not forgotten, and proof that kindness still exists in this world. With every meal Mohammed eats, his mother’s heart fills with gratitude, sending out heartfelt prayers for those who extended their hands to help.

Yet, hundreds of other families are still waiting. Ramadan is passing quickly, but hunger does not wait. Your continued support means the difference between despair and hope, between an empty table and a warm meal.

Thank you for being a beacon of light in their darkest moments.
Together, we make a difference.
