Dear Donor,
The displaced populations in northern Syria are enduring severe humanitarian conditions, particularly with the onset of winter. The destruction of infrastructure and the ongoing siege have made securing basic necessities, such as food and warm clothing, exceedingly difficult. According to a report by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in December 2024, approximately 1.5 million displaced individuals in northwest Syria are residing in over 1,300 camps, 90% of which are informal and self-built, lacking adequate shelter and heating facilities.
Thanks to the support of compassionate individuals like you, we were able to provide a food basket to the family of young Mahmoud, who lives with his mother and four sisters in a modest home on the outskirts of Kafra village in northern Syria. The basket included rice, legumes, oil, tea, sugar, flour, and canned goods, significantly alleviating their daily hardships.
Mahmoud's mother is striving to support her children by working as a seamstress, earning just enough to cover their basic needs and the rent for their humble dwelling.
The Importance of Continued Donations
Your ongoing support is vital for families like Mahmoud's. Your contributions help provide essential resources and alleviate the suffering of those enduring these challenging circumstances.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who have contributed to supporting these displaced families. Your generosity is not merely assistance; it is a message of hope and solidarity that reflects your humanity and concern for others.
With sincere thanks and appreciation
