Dear Supporter
One of the most painful cases that we witnessed while distributing bread to some random camps was the case of the family of the two young men, Khalil and Ali.
Khalil and Ali are the eldest members of a family of 5 children and their mother. The father lost his life two years ago, leaving behind a family that has been suffering from the hardships of life in an unsafe area for 14 years. Khalil and Ali are two young men who suffer from a severe mental disability and need regular treatment and medication. As for the three children, who are at a younger age, they are forced to work collecting plastic waste and selling it to buy food to feed this miserable family who lives in a torn tent that does not protect from the heat of the summer or the cold of winter.
The Khalil and Ali family is one of the families that was recently sponsored during field surveys conducted by our team last week. Thanks to your unparalleled generosity, we were able to cover the case of this family within the bread project in northern Syria. We did not realize the reason for the overwhelming joy and screams that the children of this family made when we delivered bread to them,” says Riyad, head of our team in northern Syria. “They started running and shouting, ‘This is bread, this is bread.’ They didn’t even wait for us to give them the rest of their share..”
Riyad continues: This situation is sufficient to illustrate how simple the dreams of these miserable families are, who only ask for safety and what satisfies their hunger.
Your valuable humanitarian feeling makes us more enthusiastic about reaching other cases similar to the case of the Khalil and Ahmed family. Only with you can we move forward on this arduous journey to alleviate the pain of the afflicted.
Thank you for your generosity
