We used the money we raised in through GlobalGiving last spring to support a Save the Children, Honduras program to bolster food security, help small business, and provide dental hygiene supplies and education in rural communties of the departamento de Intibuca, Honduras. The activies supported were as follows:
A complete report of the projects we supported in Honduras is attached. This year, 2021-2021, we will continue to support helping the poorest families get supplementary food, helping farmers grow basic grains, medical referrals for the sick or injured who cannot get to a hospital, and small business grants. Missoula Medical Aid has worked in rural Honduras for 23 years, and we have trusted Honduran partners and staff who can get a lot done with very little money.
