It was a busy year here at YouMeWe NPO, and we stood by our commitment to provide children in need tools and learning opportunities to create a successful future for themselves. Thanks to the resources from our donors and the hard work of our amazing staff, we continued to do a ton of good in our local and global community these first months.
Though our work reaches globally, the majority of kids we help, live in children homes here in Japan. And we want to do even more. We are always welcoming new donors and volunteers.
Night Zookeeper Update
Get Ready for a worldwide competition!
March is “World Creative Writing Month” from the same interactive game that is designed to foster excellent writing skills. It is also known as the world’s most exciting writing competition. In this competition children from all around the world will compete against each other by writing amazing stories. There will be prizes awarded to both the top teams and individuals who compete. This competition is a great chance for Night Zookeeper to connect more children through English learning and writing.
We have a passion for promoting children’s access to information, technology, and communication.
Meeting with the Ghana Ambassador
This is a great opportunity for the You Me We organization.
Recently the Ambassador of Ghana and our Founder, Michael Clemons, sat down with to discuss our vision here at You Me We.
This meeting was not simply by chance. It just so happens that YouMeWe NPO is working with a teacher in Ghana to provide them with resources like software and WiFi. Through this support Ghanan children in a small rural community can connect to the world, and even take part in the “World Creative Writing Month” competition through Night Zookeeper.
Through our donors we are able to give continuous support of their connection to the world. Right now, this is provided by Wifi internet, but we would like to eventually get them resources like free satellite internet.
We possess a commitment to connect children everywhere through technology like we did in January at the Ichigo Jam Coding event. Please see the video link.
