Zimconserve is extremely elated and wishes to thank GlobalGiving and anonymous donor/donors for the grant donation they extended to our organization in the past 12 months amounting to USD 450, towards our project, being the establishment of a sustainable farming resource center at Seke rural.
For starters, we are happy to share our success story, as we managed to utilize the funds to nurture a tree nursery garden, from which we sourced the plant that marks the perimeter boundaries of the new 5 hectare plot - a product which could not have been possible had it not been of your timeous intervention.
The project has since begun to take shape as from the day we received the donation and it, therefore, our fervent hope and wish that this fruitful partnership shall continue to grow and bear still more fruits, going forward.
However, we still have a number of challenges before us, thus hampering our efforts to fully implement our entire project as proposed.
These being; an urgent need for a solar-powered borehole, perimeter fencing, fish ponds, mushroom sheds and utility building structure to house all the required facilities at the site.
Otherwise, the project is headed towards a right path, meant to transform the livelihoods of the local farmers, who of late have borne the brunt of hunger and poverty, ceaselessly.
All the same, we still feel highly indebted to you for the support and able assistance towards our endeavor. Such grand projects, therefore require substantial funding, which is the moment our coffers fall short of.
For interest’s sake, attached herewith this comprehensive report is the images of our tree nursery garden and planted trees that mark the perimeter boundaries of the new Zimconserve 5 hectare plot.
