You Did it !!
By Michael Hildenbrand | Project Leader
Today we crosssed the finish line and raised our goal of $3000 to purchase desks and school supplies for the remote village in NE Uganda!! What an amazing group effort. You have accomplished an amazing life changing thing. It isn't often that we get to do something that truly changes someones life, but you have done that. The parents and chidlren in this village thank you. I will keep you updated when the school is completed and desks are in place. It may be a month or so as it is the rainy season there and the road to the village is not the greatest.
Thank you all for such a great effort!

school construction progress
I just returned from almost 3 weeks in Uganda. We spent 16 days camping in the bush. It was a great time with these dear Ugandans. Along the way we had some surprises. January is normally part of the "dry season", but we had quite a bit of rain. It rained most nights and we had some heavy downpours during the day. Twice while taveling on the dirt roads we got stuck, once it took us and hour and a half to dig ourselves out. As a result of the unusal amounts of rain the progress on the new school has been slower than planned and so we are waiting to purchase desks and supplies. We visited the school site and the village and they are are very excited about having a school. I will keep you posted on progress. I think we will be done in about a month.

Almost half Way to goal!
By Mike Hildenbrand | Project Leader
We have had some strong giving in the last couple of months on this project to provide desks and school supplies for a new school in rural NE Uganda. Our goal is $3000 and we are almost half way there. We are building a two classroom school in a rural village in NE Uganda. The classrooms are for first and second grade students because it is too far for them the walk the five miles to the nearest school which we built 3 years ago in a nearby village. The village leaders are very excited for their new school. I will be in Uganda in January to be part of the dedication of this new school. I will send pictures when I return. Please tell your friends about this project, it would be wonderful to fully fund this project by the end of the year. Thank you for you generous giving. You are an important part of this team.
