Dear friends,
Greetings from Bangalore Baptist Hospital.
"Look at Hema, she's earning," whispers of admiration trail in the village. Her provision store is popular in the village. "This is a new experience for me, both running the store and the joy of being independent," she shares.
Hema, who copes with the effects of polio, went through tough times after her mother passed away in 2018 and during the COVID-19 pandemic. She moved with her family to find work and became their primary support. With our financial support, she achieved her dream of opening a provision store. Her father stands by her and brings all the provisions from the town. Hema is happy knowing she's the breadwinner for the five members of the family.
Thank you- you supported Hema.
"I wasn't expecting a toilet like this," exclaimed Kempamma. God makes all things the best. 'Thank you for making my life comfortable. Earlier, I had to depend on my mother, and as she is ageing, she finds it difficult to help me. God answered our prayers," she continued.
Kempamma is affected by polio and lives with her mother. The only source of income is Kempamma's disability pension. Now that Kempamma can use the restroom independently, her mother can confidently work in the fields for extra income.
Your support is transforming families such as Kempamma.
When Vihaan raised his head for the first time, our physiotherapist's eyes sparkled with pride as he gently embraced Vihaan. Though seemingly a small feat, he understood the significance of this moment for Vihaan, a child with Cerebral Palsy. Vihaan has progressed so much now. He can hold his head for 20 seconds, smile and hold objects. We promise you, we are going to continue with the therapy to ensure Vihaan progresses.
Praneeth, diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), loves playing with colourful beads and cognitive spirals. Previously, he wouldn't play or do anything continuously.
Thank you for your continued support. We do what we can do only with your love and support. Please continue to pray for our children and spread this cause to your friends and family.
With gratitude,
Carol
