Fund a Life Saving Defibrillator for Kids' Surgery

Though the funds raised that we raised from the campaign was inadequate, it was destiny when one of our donors came up to support the remaining of the cost.

We have got our equipment and now are using the equipemnt to transform Clefts into Smiles. Just like we did for Little Amzad.

Amzad, a 7 year old boy from Garo Hills in Meghalaya, was born with cleft lip and palate. His mother was shocked to find her first-born with facial deformity she had never seen before. Till little Amzad attained 3 years, his mother faced difficulty in feeding him due to his cleft lip and palate deformities. As a result, the little one was deprived of basic nutrients. As years went by, the mother became highly apprehensive about the future of her son.

Luckily for Amzad, when he was 7, a volunteer from their locality pursued his parents to visit the hospital where Mission Smile’s free cleft surgery camp was underway.

Amzad’s mother was surprised to see so many children like her little son, with cleft deformities who had come for their cleft lip treatment. She was amazed to see how the children have been wonderfully taken care of at the centre.

Amzad was examined and was selected for surgery. His surgery was successful and his wait of 7 long years ultimately ended gifting him a priceless smile.

The happy family left for home with tears of joy and a heart full of gratitude after his cleft palate repair and conveyed best wishes to the donors and Mission Smile
