Thanks to the generous support of our GlobalGiving community, along with our local supporters, we have raised the necessary funds to build the bridge. Soon, the expanding trail system of Deer Run Nature Preserve will be more accessible.
We have connected with our bridge-building partner, Tahawus Trails, and developed a timeline for construction. We chose Tahawus Trails based on several factors: They are regionally local; they have many years of professional experience; they are able to meet our specifications; and, they are willing to work with volunteers, who we will incorporate wherever possible.
We plan to have the bridge completed in time for the opening of our newest trail in mid-September 2022.

Thank you, again, for helping us make the beauty and wonder of Deer Run Nature Preserve accessible!
