We continue to work very closely with Youthmapper chapters in Tanzania and beyond, and love hearing from them in our monthly skill sharing sessions.
In our October meetup we heard from different groups about the value of building leadership in such groups in order to promote sustainability and quality mapping. Watch the recording here.
We also participated in a project with USAID to map different crop varieties in northern Tanzania to help aid food security.
Last month 35 mappers added over 15 thousand edits to the map, adding over 9500 buildings and 36 km of roads. If you would like to join us please get in touch!
We are about to start a new project in Morogoro region, training a network of young women to be digital champions and map their villages to help protect girls from child marriage, more details to follow.
Thank you again for your support for this project!
